CLAMSHELL WINCH Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to place a purchase order on a sole source basis with Clamshell Buildings, 1990 Knoll Drive, Ventura, CA 93003 for six (6) winch, dual drum, 60Hz, 230V with hand shaft (part no. U03171), and six (6) Plate, mounting, winch, adapter, electric with penetration to accommodate manual crank (part no. 500921). The Contractor is the only known source for these items, which must be integrated into existing Large Area Maintenance Shelters (LAMS) manufactured by Clamshell Buildings (model no. 50B-BBB-10CC), which are erected at Camp Bonsteel, Kosovo. These replacement parts contain numerous components that must be integrated into the existing system. The purchase of these items is intended to replace existing winches. Interested parties who contend that they are capable of providing the supplies are required to submit a proposal within 45 days from the publication of this notice. Specific factual data, product literature, and other pertinent information, which demonstrates their capability in providing these items, shall be submitted to the above address, Attention: Mr. Thomas Bouchard (AMSSB-ACN-S) and the information submitted will be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully meet the requirements. All proposals received within the 45 day notice period will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received, as a result of this Notice of Intent, will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
