requirement exists on King Fahad Air Base, Taif, Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia (KSA) to provide materials, equipment and labor necessary for
design, refurbishment, renovation, and furnishing of five annexes in
Group Shelter 98 (G-8) for use in the Squadron facility. The scope of
this project contains these primary tasks: 1) Refurbish five (5)
existing sites. 2) Renovate annexes 3 and 5 in G-8. 3) Furnishings and
Equipment (See APPENDIX 2 of Statement of Work for further
instructions) These requirements are to be reviewed by each contractor
during the site visit. A site visit will be arranged within three
weeks from the date of the Request for Proposal for the successful
offeror. The government prior to submission of the contractor's
proposal shall incorporate all clarifications or changes to the
original Statement of Work (SOW) made during the site visit. The
contractor shall be required to confirm any measurements, quantities,
shapes, locations, or sizes during the site visit. The contractor shall
coordinate all work with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to minimize
mission disruption. Overall contract performance period will be 120
days following the notice to proceed (or four months after NTP). All
items provided by the contractor will include the applicable
manufacturer's warranty and contract warranties for TWO years. The
contractor shall be liable for any damage to RSAF property caused by
them during the contract duration. The contractor shall be responsible
for obtaining and tracking all passes for the life of the contract.
The contractor shall determine the need for a staging area at the
pre-construction meeting. The contractor shall obtain permission form
the Base Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Department to connect
with the existing utilities and absorb all costs associated with those
connections. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with
the most recent editions of the national and international codes,
standards, regulations, technical orders and safety and health manuals
listed in Section 2 of the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The
contractor shall be responsible for all construction management and
quality control. This shall be performed in accordance with Section
1.13 of the attached SOW. All submissions must be approved by the
Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO). The following is a list of
the appropriate submissions further elaborated on in Section 4 of the
attached Statement of Work (SOW): 1) Materials 2) Equipment 3) Shop
Drawings 4) Testing schedule 5) As-Built Drawings and O&M manuals
