requirement exists on King Khalid Air Base, Khamis Mushayt, Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia (KSA) to provide materials, equipment and labor necessary
for both design and construction of Air Police Training School &
Corps Center Obstacle Course. The scope of this project contains these
primary tasks: 1) site survey 2) site documentation and 3) design and
construction of obstacle course. (See Section 3 of Statement of Work
for further instructions) These requirements are to be reviewed by each
contractor during the site visit. A site visit will be arranged within
three weeks from the date of the Request for Proposal for the
successful offeror. The government prior to submission of the
contractor's proposal shall incorporate all clarifications or changes
to the original Statement of Work (SOW) made during the site visit. The
contractor shall be required to confirm any measurements, quantities,
shapes, locations, or sizes during the site visit. The contractor shall
coordinate all work with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) to minimize
mission disruption. Overall contract performance period will be 180
days following the notice to proceed (or six months after NTP). All
items provided by the contractor will include the applicable
manufacturer's warranty and contract warranties for one year. The
contractor shall be liable for any damage to RSAF property caused by
them during the contract duration. The contractor shall be responsible
for obtaining and tracking all passes for the life of the contract.
The contractor shall determine the need for a staging area at the
pre-construction meeting. The contractor shall obtain permission form
the Base Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Department to connect
with the existing utilities and absorb all costs associated with those
connections. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with
the most recent editions of the national and international codes,
standards, regulations, technical orders and safety and health manuals
listed in Section 2 of the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The
contractor shall be responsible for all construction management and
quality control. This shall be performed in accordance with Section
1.13 of the attached SOW. All submissions must be approved by the
Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO). The following is a list of
the appropriate submissions further elaborated on in Section 4 of the
attached Statement of Work (SOW): 1) Materials 2) Equipment 3) Shop
Drawings 4) Testing schedule 5) As-Built Drawings and O&M manuals
