The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is hosting a Pre-Solicitation Conference to discuss the acquisition of services for facilities maintenance. The conference is scheduled for 10:00AM-3:00PM, May 9, 2000 at the DSCP Building #4 Auditorium. There will be an open forum discussion. Interested parties desiring to hold discussions on an individual basis may do so by scheduling an appointment for May 10, 2000. The 30 minute time slots and location will be announced at the open forum discussion. This Pre-Solicitation conference will be conducted in advance of a Draft Solicitation and a formal Request for Proposals. The purpose of this conference is to provide the Government an opportunity to identify an acquisition vehicle whereby customers can acquire services as well as incidental supplies for facilities maintenance of DoD bases. The goal is to have a multi-service contract that would allow base facility managers to order services on an as-needed basis. The types of services to be acquired include architectural & engineering, maintenance, repair and renovation of buildings and associated equipment as well as ancillary services such as lawn care, painting, paving, trash removal, etc. The initial target audience for this contract is still under consideration but would include military bases in the United States with an initial emphasis on the Northeast, to include the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.
