The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure through Commercial Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 12, on an Sole Source basis from Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle Washington, a minimum of one (1) C-40A Aircraft, Associated support, and Navy specific requirements. The associated support will include Interim Contractor Support (organic O-level, commercial depot level). The Navy specific requirements are a cargo door, cargo handling system and a combination configuration for the existing aircraft. The C-40A will be Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified, commercial-derivative cargo/transport aircraft that have been modified with Navy specific requirements.
