originally published in the CBD on 2 April 1999 is amended to read as
follows: The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure a Ping
Intercept Passive Ranging Systems (PIPRS) under a firm-fixed-price
contract with Sonartech of Sydney, Australia, via the Foreign
Comparative Testing Program (FCT). The U.S. Navy will test and evaluate
through at-sea testing the PIPRS radius of curvature ranging capability
against the requirements of the AN/WLY-1 Operation Requirements as
modified for application to SSN 688 and Trident class submarines. The
Base Year (4th Quarter of FY 01) is one test unit. See Numbered Note:
