USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) propose to issue an open market award for Geometrics equipment and accessories. The requirement is to furnish and delivery the following: one (1) each Geometrics Ohmmapper TR1 Capacitively Coupled Resistivity System and one (1) each Geometrics Model R24 Strataview 24-Channel Exploration Seismograph. The brand name procurement of the R24 Strataview 24-Channel Exploration Seismograph is due to the equipment design having an applicability to shallow (near-surface) applications, specifically geotechnical applications. This equipment can be equipped with additional data acquisition cards and software to become a fully functional Model EH4 Stratagem Four Channel Electrical Conductivity Imaging System. The R24 Seismograph/EH4 Stratagem integrated system is the only known system of its kin in the world and the only known system that can acquire seismic and electromagnetic data with a single data acquisition and processing unit. The brand name procurement of the OhmMapper TR1 Capacitively-Coupled Resistivity System is one (1) of only two known commercially available systems in the world and the only known domestic model available. The OhmMapper is the only systems which meets the minimum requirements. Additionally, the Geometrics OhmMapper utilizes the same data acquisition console as the Geometrics G-858 Magnetometer system. The proposed award action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit for only one brand under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). However, all quotes received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
