Luwanna K. Greene, (202) 324-3319 This is a modification to combined
synopsis/solicitation RFP 858667, a previously announced procurement
action. This modification shall serve as Amendment #2 which
incorporates the following question from vendors into RFP 858667.
QUESTION: "Please clarify how the Agency intends to evaluate price
offers. The solicitation states 'by adding the total price for all
options to the total price for the basic requirements'. In order to
calculate the 'total price', will the Agency use the lowest, highest,
or average offer price for the base and four option years?" ANSWER:
Offers shall be submitted in quantity discounts of 50 (1-50; 51-100;
101-150; 151-200; and 200+). The government will evaluate offers, by
adding the base year price and the option years, per quantity discount.
The cumulative total price of each discount will be added together to
determine which offer is more advantageous to the government. Proposals
shall be extended until 4/19/00 by 1:00p.m. EST. ***** Posted 04/12/00
