The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #FBICU007056, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-15. The requested equipment will provide a field deployable nitrate-specific thermal analyzer for trace analyzer of explosives residues. This purchase is being done on a sole source basis because through market research on the Internet no other source for such items could be found. Easy to use and maintain, requiring minimal operator training.
