Background "Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will procure an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the base year (anticipated 01 Aug 00 -- 31 Jul 00), plus four (4) one-year option periods to purchase, install, repair and replace floor covering. This requirement includes and covers provisions for all materials, labor, equipment and transportation necessary to install underlayment, resilient flooring, wall base, carpet and carpet tiles, including asbestos abatement of vinyl asbestos tile and mastic. Furniture lifting is required. Multiple awards are contemplated. Contractor must have the ability to cut and store carpeting off base for just-in-time delivery.. The standard industrial classification code for this acquisition is 1752. An award will be made using a Performance-Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedure described in FAR 15.101-1 and AFFAR 5315.101-1, ""Tradeoff Process."" This is planned to be a negotiated acquisition.
