Glen Jones, (858) 642-6295 The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System has a requirement for Data Technician Services to operate the Cancer and Tumor Registry in accordance with guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer in the Cancer Program, Data Acquisition Manual, the State of California Department of Health Services under the Cancer Reporting Act Section 211.3, Health and Safety Code and in accordance with VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System West Los Angeles abstracting guidelines. Technician must have a Master's Degree in Health Sciences, a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the field of Cancer Data Management and a minimum of five (5) years in Hospital Registry experience. Services require technician to be located on site. Contract period is for a base period of one year with two, one year options. Technician will not be considered a VA employee for any reason.
