This procurement is a small business set aside and a solicitation. This is an addendum to Notice #440197, dated 3/31/2000. This notice is necessary due to questions received from vendors and answers supplied by the requesting office. They are as follows: 1. Will personnel be working in the van and have need of a work bench? No. 2. Would the operator be outside of vehicle and be able to access equipment through doors located on the side of vehicle. Yes. Also, what size will the equipment be to ensure there is adequate door space and storage. Hand tools. 3. "...Storage of 2UG air compressor and 5000 KTW portable generator". Answer -- These units will be removed for use. 4. "...should also be room for personnel to enter and exit without being too restricted." Answer -- No roll up door. We want double rear doors. 5. "Vehicle should have dual rear axle". Answer -- Not dual axle. We want Dual rear wheels like, for example, an E-450. 6. "...smaller items it will include high pressure tubing, air tools, long extension cords -- lighting stands, tool boxes". Answer -- Individual tool boxes on outside of van. 7. "...should have storage shelves inside to allow for storage of smaller items plainly visible." Answer -- metal, open. 8. ...engine, alternator, H.D. 34 AMP (2) batteries". Answer -- for example, a 7.3 diesel alternator is 110 AMP and two batteries -- 1500 CCA, would do fine. 9. "...straight rear bumper".
