COMBINED-SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION prepared in accordance with the Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, FAC 97-10, as supplemented with
the additional information included in this notice. This announcement
consistitutes the only solicitation. PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND
A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Bidders are required to
submit the documentation required in FAR Part 12, including those
required clauses identified in Far Part 12. Solicitation Number is
RP152400855. The proposal should be the standard product literature
including the cost, in accordance with commercial item procedures. This
procurement is unrestricted and is being advertised as full and open
competition. The contractor shall provide one snow blower as follows:
Self-contained two (2) stage rotary snow blower capable of attaching to
a 644H, John Deere rubber tire loader. Snow blower shall be designed to
attach the rotary head to the front loader arms and the engine/hyraulic
unit to the rear of the loader. Heavy duty design with a demonstrated
minimum capacity capable of blowing 2,000 tons per hour of snow at
altitudes ranging from 8,000 to above 12,000 feet above sea level.
Current year production model (not used or remanufactured), primary use
blower. With a minimum of 300 hp @ peak RPM, must be able to perform
normal operations at an ambient temperature of 10 degrees F. Blower and
Power plant shall be installed at successful bidders location. With
quick-hitch style connectors at head. All controls within sight and
reach of operators' position in cab. Of two (2) stage design: one right
and one left helical ribbon type cutter reels and a snow casting
impeller housing capable of rotating left and right. Must have
hydraulic relief valving and a pressure compensating system shall be in
lieu of shear pins. Blower shall be equipped with the following:
Minimum of a 300hp diesel engine, a minimum of ten hours fuel capacity
during normal operations, 110 VAC immersion type block heater, work
lights on top at rear, skid pads mounted on the outside of head on the
sides with replaceable type pads, coolant recovery system,
manufactures deflector shield. Must include a warrant of no less than
1 year on the following: Shall include all parts and labor on,
workmanship, blower, engine, hydorstatic system, electrical system, and
hydraulic system. This blower assembly and its components shall be new,
current production model year equipment. Used, surplus or not current
model year components will not be accepted. One of a kind or first off
the production line will not be accepted. Manufacture must be able to
respond within a 24-hour period due to problems acquired under
warranty. This product shall be purchased under the Buy American Act.
Delivery included (i.e. FOB Destination pricing). This solicitation is
for replacement equipment and all bids must include a trade-in
allowance for the following piece of equipment: Rotary Snowplow, 1974
Snowblast, Model RHS-1500L, split package. Condition -- Serviceable. A
minimum of $5,000 must be offered for the trade-in. Pick up the
snowblast will be the responsibility of the successful bidder. Required
delivery date is 100 days or less from the date the purchaser places
