NSN: 5180-01-091-5098, The item to procure is a Took Kit, Tube Flaring, Hydraulic. The hydraulic tube flaring kit shall be capable of flaring tubes of stainless steel, steel, copper and aluminum. The kit shall be capable of flaring tubing from .250 inch outside diameter to 1.250 inches outside diameter, with wall thickness of .035 inches to .134. If hydraulic pressure is used to flare the tubing, the pressure required to flare the tubes shall not exceed 700 psig, and the hydraulic tube fitting fit shall interface with the hydraulic pump by mating to a 3/8 inch, 37-degree; female flared swivel end fitting. The type of contract will be a Requirements type contract with 5 years of ordering periods. The maximum quantity for the 5 years will be 50 each. The Request for Proposal will be issued under FAR Part 12. In accordance with FAR 12.204 the synopsis will be issued for less than the 15 days. Estimated date of release is 24 Apr 2000. Estimated closing date is 24 May 2000. FOB is Origin. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY00 Requirement.
