NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for ROSEMOUNT NGA 2000 MAINFRAME PLATFORM MODEL # = S-1-0-G-M-Z-Z-Z-A, 1 EACH; ROSEMOUNT NGA 2000 CO2 ANALYZER, MODEL # = I-A-B23-Z00-A-Z-Z-Z, 1 EACH; ROSEMOUNT NGA 2000 CO ANALYZER MODEL # = I-A-A16-Z00-A-Z-Z-Z, 1 EACH; ROSEMOUNT NGA 2000 02 ANALYZER MODEL # = P-A-A15-Z00-ZZZ-A, 1 EACH. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from ROSEMOUNT ANALYTICAL, 1201 MAIN STREET, ORRVILLE, OHIO 44667 under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(C)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This equipment is in use in several test cells at the NASA Glenn Research Center. In order for the cells to remain uniform and compatible, the specified equipment is required. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on April 28, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
