This acquisition provides for technical, engineering and analytical support for the development of composite materials for gun-launched weapons. This effort involves the analysis, design and performance of tasks in support of development and evaluation efforts pertaining to extended range munitions, advanced gun propulsion systems, and advanced rocket propulsion systems through the application of advanced composite materials. Assistance may be required for the acquisition, manufacture, assembly, and delivery of hardware and components for the purpose of demonstrating and evaluating technologies. Technical support in the development and implementation of test and evaluation plans to verify the performance of gun launched munitions using advanced composite materials may be required. Fulfillment of this effort will be through other than full and open competition as only Custom Analytical Engineering Systems, Incorporated; 13000 Tensor Lane NE; Flintstone, Maryland 21530 is capable of satisfying the Government's minimum requirements. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract with provisions for the issuance of term and completion task orders will be used during the five-year life of this acquisition.
