This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number F25600-00-T-0119 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The standard industrial classification code and small business size standard are: 3585, 500 employees. The government intends to issue a purchase order for: Conversion of York International Chiller Model #YTK1K3E2-CTA to operate on refrigerant R-123. Conversion must include a new York Turboguard II purge, and installation of Ventguard safety relief valve. Contractor must perform non-destructive eddy-current testing to evaporator and condensor tubing bundles. Contractor will also replace all existing service valves with OEM original valves, and install a refrigerant clean-up kit. Contractor will remove existing chiller and condensor water piping and provide and install 8_ and 10_ piping as required. Contractor will provide and install new 1000 amp circuit breaker in the existing panel board for connection to chiller. Contractor will install a non-fused disconnect at the chiller. A site visit is scheduled for 20 April 2000.
