The requirement is to provide modification of the Digital Signal Data Converter (DSDC), 53-020-04 configuration, to support replacement of internal software functionality associated with ASN-130 (CAINS) interfaces in Block-89A EA-6B aircraft with Dual ASN-172 Embedded GPS/INS functionality, while retaining backward compatible operation in Block-89A (with single ASN-172 and ASN-130), Block-89, and Block-82 aircraft. BAE Systems is the original designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the DSDC. As the developer of the DSDC, BAE Systems has specific software design specifications, algorithms, source code, hardware components, support equipment, expertise, and production processes that are proprietary or unique to BAE Systems.
