Q -- HOSPITAL SERVICES SOL RFQ 258-0071-0 POC Curtis Courtney, (606) 253-8889 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, Kentucky, has a requirement for Inpatient/Outpatient Hospital and Physician services for BOP incarcerated inmates. The facility must be JCAHO certified prior to contract award, and laboratory facilities must be accredited by the American College of Pathology. Licenses and certifications shall be required either prior to award or upon request, as specified in the solicitation. Guards (BOP staff or contract workers) shall be on duty at the hospital with the patient. The medical facility shall be within 120 miles of FCI Manchester. Courtesy Hosptial and dental credentialing and privileges shall be extented to BOP physicians, limited to review and approval by hospital personnel. The facility shall be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards for firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract(s).This will be a competitive procurement, with price and other factors considered and evaluated. The other factors are A. Technical, 1)Credentials and qualifications of staff, 2) understanding the SOW, 3) location, age, and condition of the facility, 4) ability to meet the diversity of servics, 5) centralized billing; B. Past Performance, 1) Quality, 2) Proper Billing and cost control, 3) Customer satisfaction, 4) Business relations, 5) meeting subcontracting goals. There will be a base year with four one year option periods. For each contract year, the following estimates are provided: Inpatient Hospital/Physician: 30 days guar. min., 300 days estimated max.
