The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District is conducting a market survey to identify sources and increase competition acquisition opportunities for a Design/Build Contract for Marina Expansion at Fort Monroe, Virginia. The Army Community and Family Support Center, a non-appropriated fund activity, is the proponent. The project consists of adding 144 new slips from 30 to 50 feet long in a marine environment with significant waves and tidal flow. Wave screens will be included. No dredging is anticipated. Other features include potable water and electric power to new slips, sewage pump-out station, signage, 400 square foot bathhouse, lighted parking for 75 vehicles, improvements to existing Building 207, heating and ventilation for the existing maintenance area, repairs to the existing boat launch ramp, and other incidental work. The dollar range of this project is estimated between $2,500,000 and $3,500,000. This request is only to establish a bidder's list.
