Z -- HALL STENCIL PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION AT GREY TOWERS NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK, MILFORD, PA SOL NE-00-03 DUE 060600 POC Patricia Pierce 610-557-4248 The USDA Forest Service intends to award a negotiated contract for all work necessary and as described in the Statement of Work to preserve and restore the existing historic (1913) stenciling that adorns the upper plaster walls of the hall and main stairways at USDA Forest Service, Grey Towers National Historic Landmark in Milford, PA. The treatment goal is to both preserve as much of the surviving stenciling as possible, and to restore those portions of the stencil that are missing. The restoration target date for these stenciled rooms is circa-1930s, when the stenciling was intact and in good maintenance condition. This project is between $25,000 -- $100,000. Solictation is expected to be issued by May 5, 2000. If this date slips the RFP will be due 30 days from the date the solicition is issued. Pre-proposal meeting will be held at the site and date will be established and included in the solicitation. Evaluation factors will be included in the solictiation and 5 additional points will be included in the evalution factors for Women-Owned businesses.
