This is the Pre-Proposal Conference Notice for an OMB Circular A-76
Cost Comparison Study to provide personnel, equipment, tools, materials
and transportation for the Construction Maintenance Utilities Division,
Public Works Department, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. The Step
I pre-proposal conference will be conducted in Bldg. 00874 at the Naval
Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA on May 10, 2000. Registration will
be from 8:30 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. with the conference to convene
immediately thereafter. The first session of the Step I pre-proposal
conference is anticipated to last approximately (2) two hours. The
purpose is to provide prospective offerors a presentation on the Source
Selection Process, a question and answer period, an opportunity to
identify solicitation deficiencies and to present the overall
functional and operational aspects of the requirement. The second
session of the Step I pre-proposal conference will also be held in
Bldg. 00874 on May 10, 2000 and will begin at 1:00 P.M. The second
session is anticipated to last approximately (2) two hours. The purpose
of the session is to facilitate subcontracting or other teaming
efforts. All Small Businesses (SB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses
(SDB), HUBZone, Locally Owned Small Businesses and others, including
potential prime contractors are encouraged to attend. This session will
include a presentation on the Outreach program, a question and answer
period, and an opportunity for interested Prime and Small Business
contractors to meet and hold informal discussions. Potential prime
contractors are requested to bring qualification packages to distribute
to potential subcontractors. Interested firms shall contact Lisa Young
at younglm@efdsw.navfac.navy.mil to register for attendance. Each firm
should limit number of representatives attending the conference to two.
Firms must provide full names for all attendees at the time of
scheduling attendance. Once notification is received, directions and
the required temporary badge information will be given. It is
imperative that registration for the conference be submitted prior to
May 04, 2000, to allow sufficient time to process temporary badges
through security. FIRMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT WRITTEN QUESTIONS
PRIOR TO OR DURING THE CONFERENCE CONCERNING ANY ASPECT OF THE
SOLICITATION. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE, PLEASE
