The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, and do all things necessary to replace the water lines and construct new cedar fencing in accordance with the specifications and drawings furnished with this solicitation. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following work: Provide and maintain a temporary water supply adequate to fully service all housing units having water supplies interrupted by this project work. As indicated on the drawings, remove and dispose existing fire hydrants, valves, and curb stops; Remove and dispose portion of existing 8" asbestos cement water main and existing water lines that are crossed by the new service lines; Remove and dispose existing 1 1/2" galvanized steel water service lines; Remove and dispose existing chain link fencing, concrete sidewalks, signs, trees, and scrubs. Provide new 8" ductile iron pip water main and appurtenances and insulation where depth of cover is less than 8 and 10 feet respectfully; Provide new 2" copper water service lines and appurtenances; Provide new cast in place concrete thrust blocks and support blocks at all elbows, valves, tees and fire hydrants; Provide sectional replacement and concrete encasement of sewer line at crossing location; Disinfection and testing of all water lines affected by the work prior to returning them to service; Provide new cedar fencing and appurtenances; Reconstruct roads, driveways, concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, landscaping, seeding and pavement disturbed by construction; Reinstall posts, signs and other items which were removed from excavation; Provide new trees and shrubs to replace trees and shrubs removed; Excavate for existing and new water lines; Backfill and compact all excavations.
