The Headquarters United States Army Corps of Engineers under the direction of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations and Environment has a requirement to establish a long term business relationship with private sector developers for the purpose of improving military family housing communities at Fort Meade, Maryland. This requirement is part of the Congressionally authorized Military Housing Privatization Initiative and as such, employs commercial practices to meet the Army's needs for management, and operation and maintenance of the family housing at Fort Meade, Maryland. The Army intends to release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) with specific submission requirements for a Developer Selection Evaluation using Best Value Procedures. Pre-RFQ and pre-submission conferences are not intended. Interested developers may contact the Contract Specialist between May 1, 2000 and June 1, 2000 at the e-mail address stated below to express an interest in a site visit. The official RFQ will only be available, to all interested, at the RCI website http://rci.army.mil. The RCI website will be the only source for the official version of the RFQ and solicitation information. Questions will NOT be responded to in other than electronic medium. Comments and/or questions received after the official closing date, June 30, 2000 will not be considered. The Army will NOT respond individually to comments or questions after June 1, 2000 but all contacts will be considered.
