This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for various utilitiy bags and size, prepariedin accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemental with additional information included in this notice. This is Set-Aside for Small Business. All resonsible sources may submit their offer. This announcement constitutes the only Solicitation, proposal requested and a written solicitation will not be issued, Solicitation Number: Q4488400821002, applies and issued for proposal. This Solicitation will conduct and incorporate provisions and clauses that are in Acquisition Circular 97-16 and Defense Circular 92-13 (correction), the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3089. This acquisition is being conducted with FAR 12 and in conjunction with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 100% Set-Aside. Closing Date: 04/28/00, Closing Time: 1600 pm, Pacific Tiem. The Government intends to purchase the following under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following is required, brand name or equal, 20 each, utility bag for long barrell M60 Machine Gun, waterproof bags, the bag closure sysytem, use two (2) piece ridig clamp,type construction with nylon fastners. Bags are made from 80 mil thick, clear, and ultra high molecularweight pvc, plasticized with a high quality polymer plasticizer. Reforcements is in the muzzle and receiver areas. Opening secured with 12.25" two (2) piece, black, ridig clamp clouser with end rings. to provide second level of protection. Clouser attached with 1,100 lb. test braded nylon sheath cord, used for closing. Bag is of two- dimensional construction with nominal 13" by 48" usable deminsion and three (3) D-rings spaced 1' 0n center across the top of bag. Bag equipped with oral inflation tube and two (2) integral nylon straps for rolled configuration. 20 each, utility bag for M16 Rifle: Opening secured with 15.25", bag dimensional construction 13" by 13" usable dimension. Two-dimensional, 80 mil, three (3) D-rings (similar construction discription as bag for lon fbarrel M60). 86 each, large utility bag, 12" by 18", 60 mil, opening secured with 14.25", no D-rings, dimensional construction with nominal 12" by 18" usable dimension, two- dimensional. (similar type construction as M60 and M16 utility bags). 86 each, utility bags, rucksack with clamps, 60 mil, secured opening 18.25", the upper bag equipped with two (2) dimensional and 24" wide, bottom of bag is three- dimensional and has a 9" by 15" rectangular footprint. In the closed field configuration, bag is 9" by 14" dimension, yielding a 1.25 cubic foot capacity and no oral inflation tube as other bags have. All utility bags shall meet 140 feet water depth test. Bags use clamp vice zipper for protection form sand and other debris from entering bag, or equal product that has second level type protection.
