A -- UPCONVERTING-PHOSPHOR BASED DIODE LASER TECHNOLOGY SOL 00-20 DUE 050100 POC Ms. Kristen Numrych, FAX (703) 696-2208 DARPA intends to award a sole-source contract to SRI International of Menlo Park, CA, to develop and test improved lateral flow test strips against specific pathogen targets. This research effort is a follow-on to contract MDA972-96-K-0004 and will employ and further develop the upconverting phosphor reporter technology previously developed by SRI under that contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Contractors capable of offering their service must respond within 15 days of the date of this notice by submitting specific technical capability to provide this service. All responses received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
