for the Continued operation of the St. Louis Job Corps Center Main
Campus at; 4333 Goodfellow Blvd. St. Louis, Missouri, 63120 and
Satellite located at 3860 Lindell Ave, St. Louis, Missouri 63120, will
be available, free of charge, on the World Wide Web on or about
Friday, April 28, 2000, at http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html.
It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period
Jan 1, 2000 through December 31, 2002, plus three performance based
Governmental unilateral renewal able options of one year each. The St.
louis Job Corps Centers average capacity is 604 student (280 resident
males and 168 females; 29 non-residential males and 127
non-residential females). Job Corps is a residential training program
for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16 and 24.
The contractor shall provide academic and vocational training; operate
a counseling and residential living program and provide the following
services; Health Service, Processing of Student Records; Behavioral
System, Clothing Issue, Mail Service and Legal Services. The contractor
will also provide overall Center Management and Administration, Staff
Training, Financial Management and Operations, Procurement, Inventory
Control and Property Management, Maintenance, Security and Safety
Services, Community Relations and Public Information. All activities
will be in compliance with the applicable Federal Regulations governing
a Cost-Reimbursement Contract under the Federal Acquisition Regulations
and the Department of Labor Job Corps Regulations, Policies and
Handbook. A pre-proposal conference will be convened at 8:30 a.m. on
May 9, 2000, located at the Radison Hotel, 77505 Carondelet Ave,
Clayton, Missouri, 63105, phone number 314-726-5400. Following the
pre-proposal conference, there will be a tour of the facility. Upon
entering the facility the participants must report and register at the
administrative office conference room. Attendees will be responsible
for their own transportation. Interested offerors should limit their
attendance to no more than three (3) people. We recommend that
interested parties download the RFP from the Job Corps Acquisition Web
Page prior to attending the per-proposal conference. The closing date
for receipt of Proposal will be Friday June 23, 2000, at 12:00 noon
