Indefinite Quantity Contract -- Upgrade, removal and/or closure of existing and installation of new above ground/underground storage tanks (AST/UST) or natural gas conversion. The work will include materials, labor and equipment for the installation, replacement, repair, retrofit, removal and/or closure of underground/above ground, basement and vaulted storage tank systems. The work may be performed at any USPS owned or leased facility, as further detailed in the solicitation. Contracts resulting from this solicitation may involve work in the following areas, collectively known as "New York Metro": NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NEW JERSEY -- Counties of Sussex, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Warren, Morris, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer; NEW YORK CITY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES: Boroughs of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Richmond and Long Island (Counties of Nassau and Suffolk); and Counties ofWestchester, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Greene, Sullivan, Ulster, Putnam and parts of Delaware, Albany and Columbia Counties; and PUERTO RICO AND THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. Contractors must have: a minimum of three (3) years experience in UST/AST as described above; the capability of concurrently conducting at least three to four different jobs; and must possess all proper certifications as required by federal, state and local laws. Proof of meeting this competency requirement must be submitted with your proposal. Failure to do so may adversely affect consideration of your proposal. The work may include any of the items detailed in the "Unit Price Schedule". Offers will consist of a single multiplier. The multiplier will be applicable to each and every item of work listed in the Unit Price Schedule set forth in the specifications. Award will be made in accordance with Section M of the solicitation. The Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards. The minimum cumulative total dollar value of all work orders will be at least $10,000.00; no Work Order can exceed $250,000.00; the maximum cumulative total dollar value of all work orders may not exceed $5,000,000.00. The initial contract value is $1,500,000.00. The total contract may extend for no longer than five (5) years with a basic two-year term and options for three one-year renewals.. Solicitation packages will be available on or about April 24, 2000. Requests for solicitation packages must be accompanied by a company check or USPS Money Order in the amount of $125.00 made payable to the USPS Disbursing Officer.
