the following commercial item: multi-band, multi-mission manpack
radios. Solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in
Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. The solicitation Number is M00681-00-T-0312 and is issued as a
Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-15. This is an unrestricted procurement. The
Standard Industrial Code is 3663 and the employee size is 750. This
requirement is for a fixed price contract and is issued as a Brand name
or equal in accordance with FAR 52.211-6(Aug 1999). The following
commercial item consists of the following: ITEM: AN/PRC-117F
multi-band, multi-mission manpack radio. QTY: 12 Each, MFG: Harris
Communications. DESCRIPTION: Provides continuous frequency coverage
from 30 to 512 MHz, while offering embedded COMSEC, SATCOM, and ECCM
capabilities. FEATURES: Embedded COMSEC (KY-57, ANDVT/KYV-5, KG-84C and
Fascinator) interoperability, MIL-STD-188-181 SATCOM Modem,
MIL-STD-188-182 Narrowband (5kHz) DAMA SATCOM, MIL-STD-188-183 Wideband
(25 kHz) DAMA SATCOM, SINCGARS ECCM Interoperability, Advanced Key
Management, including Crypto Ignition Key (CIK) Capability, Multiple
Standard Data Interfaces (RS-232E, MIL-STD-188-114A, and RS-422), Full
remote control capability, built in Test (BIT), software driven,
modular architecture. Fully compatible with TSEC/KY-57 and the
ANDVT/KYV-5 in voice and data modes. It is compatible with the
Fascinator equipment in voice mode and the KG-84C in data mode.
Transmit and receive SARK operations are fully supported for each
COMSEC interoperability mode. The radio supports both DS-101 and DS-102
fill interfaces and all common fill devices (KYK-13, KO1-18, KYX-15,
and DTD). Items are to be delivered FOB destination to Supply Officer,
1st Force Reconnaissance Company, Bldg. 41255, Camp Pendleton, CA
92055-5341. Desired delivery date is 20 May, 2000. The following

252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). Any
contract awarded, as a result of this solicitation will be an order
certified for National Defense use under the Defense Priorities and
Allocations System. The Government will award a contract resulting from
this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to
the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The
following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: price, delivery,
