The U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) intends to competitively procure supplies and services for training devices, simulation systems, training, and test instrumentation, beginning with concept exploration through interim contractor logistics support. The solicitation will result in a Best Value, Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract (ID/IQC). The awarded contract will have an 8-year period of performance. The estimated solicitation issue date is on or about 5 May 00. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501 and 5.102(a)(7), therefore hard copies of the solicitation will not be provided. The Government will conduct a pre-proposal conference and a workshop for implementation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Enterprise Contractor Integrated Technical Information Service (ECITIS) on Wednesday, 10 May 00 at the Radisson Inn Hotel, 1724 Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32826. The pre-proposal conference will commence at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of this pre-proposal conference is to assist industry in their proposal preparation and to highlight key terms and conditions of the solicitation.
