This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 00-Q-057 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This action is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The SIC code is 5045 Computers and Computer Peripheral Equipment, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement to purchase the following: Two (2) SRS Series RAID Drive Chassis (S800); Two (2) SRS RAID Chassis with Fibre RAID Controller (S800RF); Sixteen (16) SRS Series High Capacity Drive Cells (DCG803); Four (4) Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (2470FC32KIT); One (1) RAID Controller 128MB Upgrade (S800MEM/128); Five (5) SRS Series GBIC -- Copper/DB9 Connector used with Fibre Channel Switch (AFCGBIC-C9); One (1) SRS Series Fibre Channel 7 Port Hub (AFCHUB2); One (1) SRS Series San Manager for NT- 4 Server and 250GB storage (AFCSANCO1); and One (1) SRS Series San Manager for NT- additional 100 GB Storage Key (AFCSANST2).
