The Space Sciences Division of the Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for scientific and technical efforts related to research, development and engineering, fabrication, subsystem integration and testing activities for a variety of Digital Data Dissemination Tools and Spacecraft Subsystems. Specifically, the Laboratory is seeking research, development and engineering and integration efforts in the following primary task areas: (a)Sustained technical and engineering efforts for on-going Ground-Station hardware, software, test-equipment and documentation projects; (b) Technical and engineering efforts for the design, development, fabrication, integration and testing of hardware and software for use on evolving and new programs and initiatives; (c) Technical and Engineering studies directed toward development, evaluation, design, implementation, and insertion of advanced tactical communications technologies; Technical and Engineering efforts directed toward System Management tasks; and (e) Technical and Engineering efforts directed toward designing, coding, testing and integrating Imagery On-Board Processor (IOBP) flight software. The anticipated period of performance for any resulting contract will be a base year with four option years. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses.
