The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Southwest Region, Branch of Acquisition and Property Management, solicits the services of firms to perform a Continuous Forest Inventory Project on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation, Dulce, New Mexico. The contractor shall perform all professional services for establishment and measurement of 40 new plots and remeasurement of approximately 577 plots on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation. All plots to be measured will be 1/5 acre fixed area plots. GPS locations will be collected for 540 of these plots. All services shall be performed in accordance with the BIA, Southwest Region Reservations Continuous Forest Inventory (CFI) Field Manual. Deliverables include: Plot Location Data, Plot Tally Data, GPS Data and Down Woody Fuel Inventory Data for all plots. Fieldwork is to begin at the end of the growing season in 2000 (approximately August 15, 2000) on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. Data may be collected in the field only during during the months of the non-growing season defined as August 15 -- May 15, 2000. All plots are to be measured by May 15, 2001. All work shall be completed, government furnished property returned and deliverables submitted to the COR on or before June 15, 2001. This project is estimated to cost between $50,000.00 to $250,000.00. This award will be made on an all or none basis. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the BIA.
