This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number
DADA13-00-R-0009 applies and is issued as a Request for Proposals
(RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16.
The solicitation is issued as unrestricted with a SIC of 7699 and a
size standard of 5.0 million dollars. The term of the contract shall be
one year with four option years and shall commence 1 May 2000 through
30 April 2001. CLIN's are as follows: 0001 -- Maintenance and repair of
a Siemens Mobil MR system for the period 1 May 2000 through 30 April
2001, 12 months. 0002 -- Maintenance and repair of a Siemens Mobil MR
system for the period 1 May 2001 through 30 April 2002, 12 months. 0003
-- Maintenance and repair of a Siemens Mobil MR system for the period
1 May 2002 through 30 April 2003, 12 months. 0004 -- Maintenance and
repair of a Siemens Mobil MR system for the period 1 May 2003 through
30 April 2004, 12 months. CLIN 0005, Maintenance and repair of a
Siemens Mobil MR system for the period 1 May 2004 through 30 April

Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial and 52.212-2, Evaluation --
Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following factors
are included in 52.212(a) and will be used to evaluate offers:
Technical Capability, Past Performance and Price. Technical Capability
and Past Performance, when combined, are significantly more important
than price. Offerors shall submit as part of their proposal completed
copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations
andCertifications-Commercial Items and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4,
Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this
acquisition and includes the following addenda: FAR 52.232-0019, (funds
are not available after 30 September 00) which applies to the base and
option years, FAR 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract,
(a) notice to the contractor at least 30 calendar days prior to
expiration, (c) 60 months. Offeror shall complete FAR 52.222-48,
Exemption from Application of Service Contract Act Provisions for
Contracts for Maintenance, Calibration, and/or Repair of Certain
Information Technology, Scientific and Medical and/or Office and
