(FAES) on a sole source basis to conduct the tasks required to administer the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition's Student Intern Program. FAES recruits high-quality, diverse students from the scientific and related disciplines which is accomplished through its established relationship with the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as well as contacts with colleges and universities with large percentages of Hispanic and Native American students. The Student Intern Program introduces the regulatory responsibilities of CFSAN, Public Service, the Health Enterprise, and the workplace. The Center seeks to promote and maintain a pool of high quality diverse candidates to meet future needs.
