There are three projects on the Dixie National Forest and they consist of the following: PASS CREEK GULLY STABILIZATION PROJECT: reshaping large gully systems and building rock structures using a dozer, backhoe, and dumptruck; LARS FORK RIPARIAM RESTORATION PROJECT: stabilizing eroding stream channels by building large rock structures; EAST FORK SEVIER RIVER STABILIZATION PROJECT: stabilizing vertical streambanks by sloping them back and placing structures such as woody debris and large rocks. Pass Creek is located approx. 18 miles west of Panguitch, UT on Hwy 143; Lars Fork is located approx. 36 miles east of Cedar City, UT on Hwy 14; and East Fork Sevier River is located approx. 14 miles southeast of Panguitch, UT on Hwy 89/12.
