and Alcoholism intends to negotiate a one year contract using
simplified acquisition procedures with the Bowles Center for Alcohol
Studies, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Campus Box
7090, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7090, for a project entitled
"Alcohol-Related Birth Defects Science Curriculum for Middle Schools
and High Schools." The proposed contract will develop a modular
curriculum supplement which will be used to educate middle- and
high-school students about alcohol-related birth defects. Authority: 41
U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The Bowles Center for
Alcohol Studies is the only responsible source possessing the critical
knowledge and experience in the pathogenesis and mechanisms underlying
birth defects with emphasis on maternal alcohol consumption, along with
science education outreach to local middle- and high-schools. Inquiries
