Specialist, koliver@samhsa.gov. The Center for Substance Abuse
Treatment, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration,
Department of Health and Human Services contemplates awarding a three
year cost reimbursement performance based contract with two option
years and additional optional tasks. CSAT requires a contractor to
perform a wide array of secondary analyses on data sets from previous,
current, and future CSAT projects as well as State data systems. In
addition to other tasks, the contractor will also be required to:
maintain CSAT's evaluation database; establish procedures and processes
by which data sets and or variables can be standardized across
individual data sets; provide documentation, technical assistance, and
training to authorized users; perform complicated searches and
secondary analysis of data; provide a substance abuse treatment
knowledge information system, and conduct methods improvement projects.
A DRAFT Statement of Work, and DRAFT performance standards criteria
will be posted on SAMHSA's Internet website at
http://www.samhsa.gov/contract in order to obtain industry comments,
and industry compatible standards, if applicable. Interested parties
are encouraged to review the draft items and send comments
electronically to: Koliver@SAMHSA.gov. Comments will be received until
April 26, 2000. The estimated issuance date of this RFP is May 8, 2000
with responses due approximately June 8, 2000. This solicitation may be
obtained in any of three ways: by mail, picked up in person at 5515
Security Lane, Suite 640, Rockville, MD 20852, or, electronically at
the SAMHSA web site http://www.samhsa.gov/contracts. Files will not be
made available on the web site until on or after the estimated
issuance date. If you have a continuing interest in the RFP, notify the
individual identified below that you wish copies of amendments to the
RFP (if any) sent to you by mail or check the Web regularly for
amendments which will also be posted there. Note: if you rely on the
Web for obtaining amendments, SAMHSA has no way to assure, and
therefore, assumes no responsibility for assuring you have downloaded
these amendments. Requests for copies of the RFP must be made in
writing. Requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis
until the supply is exhausted; however, there is no assurance that
copies requested after the twentieth day will reach the requestor
