hblackeagle@gp.usbr.gov. The work to be performed under the proposed
acquisition is as follows: At Sherburne Dam approximately 5 miles west
of Babb, Montana in Glacier County; (1) removing two gates and
installing two 8 foot high by 20 foot wide security gates, and one 6
foot high by 4 foot wide pedestrian gate, and (2) installing
approximately 44 feet of fencing. At Camp Nine approximately 8 miles
north of Babb, Montana in Glacier County: (1) installing approximately
374 feet of 6 foot security fencing with barb wire arc along and near
the river bank; (2) stretch 77 feet of existing fence and fitting it
with a top rail, extension arms, and three strands of barb wire, and
install two corner post and a 20 foot double hung equipment access
gate. At Tiber Dam approximately 20 miles southwest of Chester, Montana
in Liberty County; (1) installing 8 foot security fencing with barb
wire on three sides of the Spillway Control House, some of which will
be standard fencing and some will be removable panel fencing with two
gates; (2) install extension arms with barb wire on the existing 8 foot
spillway fence; (3) enclosing all four sides of the Auxiliary Emergency
Gates Control Facility with an 8 foot security fence with barb wire,
with removable fence panels on one side, and one pedestrian gate; (4)
fencing all four sides of the Auxiliary Outlet Gate Control House with
a combination of three types of security fencing with barb wire of
various heights, removable panels, removablbe posts, standard fencing,
and two gates; (5) remove approximately 5 yards of sloughed earth
material and construct a short retaining wall; (6) remove a short
section of 8 foot security fencing at the Auxiliary Outelt Works
Stilling Basin and replace the fencing with two removable panels, one
of which shall have a 4 foot pedestrian gate; (7) construct two
security wings. At Fresno Dam approximately 17 miles west of Havre,
Montana in Hill County; (1) remove and modify the alignment of some
existing 6 foot security fencing with barb wire and installing new 8
foot security fencing with barb wire; (2) stretch an existing 6 foot
security fence with barb wire; (3) replace a tubular gate with a 6 foot
security gate 16 feet wide with barb wire; (4) install new 6 foot
security fence with security wings and barb wire. Solicitation packages
are anticipated to be available 05/17/00. Requests for solicitations
should be received on or before 06/06/00. The bid opening is
tentatively scheduled for 06/20/00, at the office of the Bureau of
Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, U.S. Federal Building, 316
N 26th Street, Billings Montana 59101. The contract is to be completed
within 90 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the
solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon recipt of a
nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the
solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of
Reclamation; Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building,
316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
The small business size standard is $7,000,000 and the standard
