The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for a Contractor to conduct a contamination investigation and remediation at the former GSA Buildings 234 and 241 located at the former GSA Raritan Depot, 2890 Woodbridge Avenue, Edison, New Jersey. Both buildings have been demolished by EPA and contamination was discovered as part of the demolition work. At the building 234 site the contamination is #6 fuel oil which leaked from a storage tank over a number of years. Building 234 served as the central heating plant for the facility. At the building 241 site there is known PCB contamination in a sand pit and connecting sewer line. Building 241 served as a maintenance/overhaul facility. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated. The anticipated contract performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5/15/00. There will be no charge for solicitation documents.
