Clarification for Contractor Questions and Extend Closing Date. Q1:
Will new ducting be required? A1: No new ducting will be required.
However, ventilation grills are in need of replacement. Q2. Is
hot-dipped galvanizing required? A2: Yes, hot-dipped galvanized is
required on all outside coverings of all newly installed units due to
heavy salt air environment. Q3: What is current tonnage of the
equipment van? A3: Van #1 is currently a 3 ton unit. Van #2 is
currently a 4 ton unit. Van #3 is currently a 4 ton unit. Van 2 and 3
units sizes are inadequate for current and future cooling requirements.
Q4: What is the required equipment and ambient temperature required for
all three vans? A4: The equipment temperature was measured at 75
degrees Fahrenheit ( F) while the ambient temperature was measured at
55 F. Equipment should be cooled to 68 F. It was determined by the site
survey that the cool air needed to havegreater pressurization to
improve flow. Also ventilation grills need the addition of flow control
as well as direction control. Q5: What is the minimum difference in
height between the false ceiling and the roof in each van? A5: The
ceiling height between the false ceiling tiles and the roof was
measured as the following: Van #1, 7 1/2 inches; Van #2, 13 inches; Van
#3, 7 1/2 inches Q6: Is three-phase 208 VAC, 60 Hz power available? A6:
All three vans have three-phase 208 VAC, 60 Hz power available. The
revised closing date is COB April 26, 2000. Anticipated award date is
