This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD to issue a contract modification to Contract N00019-93-C-0006 to the Bell-Boeing Joint Venture Team for MV-22 aircraft support for two MV-22 aircraft for a period of two years following completion of MV-22 Engineering, Manufacturing and Development testing. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The Bell-Boeing Team is the designer, developer and sole producer of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft. Bell-Boeing is the only source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance and support characteristics of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft.
