Technician, (303) 236-9439 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a
requirement for contractor(s) with equine experience to assist the BLM
in the performance of its Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program in the
Southern, Northern, and Eastern United States. These adoptions will be
mobile events, and will be conducted from January through December of
each contract year, within the states listed below. The contractor(s)
will assist the BLM in haltering, loading, unloading, watering, and
feeding of the wild horses and burros at each adoption event, and will
provide some of the equipment necessary to conduct a mobile adoption
event. This work will be conducted predominantly in the following
States: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia,
Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Maine,
New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New
Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia,
Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, and
Minnesota. It is anticipated that the government will award multiple
contracts for one year plus 4 option years. Solicitation Number
NAR000052, is scheduled to be issued on or about May 12, 2000. This
requirement is 100% set-aside for small business under SIC 8999
(average annual receipts for the preceding 3 fiscal years not to exceed
