McDaniel, Contracting Officer, (505) 846-8799 Defense Threat Reduction Agency has a requirement for maintenance, repair, and calibration (to include parts and labor) of various Government-owned Tektronix Analytek Digitizing Systems. The service includes off site maintenance, repairs, and calibration as necessary for five (5)units of 2000RV2 Mainframes, eight(8) Processor Boards, eight (8) Timer Boards and forty (40) units (264 channels) of 2004S/2008S/2016S digitizing modules located at Maxwell Technologies Primex International (MTPI), San Leandro CA, and at Arnold Engineering Air Force Base (AEDC), TN. Calibration of these Analytek digitizing systems must be performed once a year and in accordance with the National Conference of Standard Laboratories (NCSL) Std. A540-1 or a comparable Standard. The digitizers are currently under the service contract DTRA02-99-M-0057 with Tektronix, expiration date 31 August 2000. Anticipate awarding a 5 (five) year (one Basic year with 4 options) firm fixed price service contract effective 1 September 2000. This announcement does not constitute a request for proposal, invitation for bid, nor a request for quotation, but is solely for the purpose of planning by surveying the market for qualified sources interested in the above requirement. No formal solicitation is available at this time; it is anticipated that a formal Request For Proposal, Invitation For Bid, or Request For Quotation will be issued approximately 45 days of this announcement.
