Repair Squadron Operations Building Facility, Bldg 2216 to include
upgrading of the interior of the building to include toilet facility to
include new plumbing and locker room configuration. Corridors, offices
and other common areas are also to be upgraded. A completely new HVAC
system will be installed to include air handling units, variable air
volume boxes with terminal heating coils, high temperature heat
exchanger and pumps. The building will be provided with new underground
cable and electrical services. New lighting fixtures, outlets, devices
will be required throughout the building. Four Optional Line Items are
listed: 1) Remove and replace exterior windows; paint existing door
frames; remove and replace vertical blinds at all exterior windows; 2)
Remove and replace all interior doors and hardware; 3) Provide Corian
window sills in lieu of wood window sills; and 4) Provide upgraded
floor finishes, provide furring, gypsum wall board, and vinyl wall
covering in corridors and vestibules. The removal and installation will
be in strict accordance with the conditions of the contract. A firm
fixed price is contemplated with a period of performance of 360 days
from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. A solicitation will be issued on
or about 17 May 00. The proposed procurement listed herein is
UNRESTRICTED, open to all small and large businesses. Award of a
contract from this solicitation will be made on the basis of best value
to the Government using price/past performance. Acceptable performance
will be renovation projects to include mechanical, HVAC, electrical
and finishes or other similar work performed within the last three
years. The proposed contract is between $1,000,000.00 and
$5,000,000.00. Standard Industrial Code for this procurement is 1541.
Any concern responding to this solicitation is classified as a small
business if the average annual receipts of the concern and its
affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years do not exceed $17.0
million dollars. All responsible concerns may submit a proposal which
