The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for thirteen (13) parachute recovery packages, Part Number 783013-1. The Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with Irvin Aerospace, Inc., 1 Irvin Place, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. Irvin Aerospace is the only known source for providing these parachute recovery systems, as it is mandatory that the recovery systems are compatible with the existing weapon systems being tested. It is essential that these additional systems be fully compatible with the existing equipment they are designed to support in order to provide interoperability.
