Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to procure for a required Maintenance Service Plan (MSP) on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), 1994 Gulfstream G-IV fixed-wing high altitude jet aircraft, FAA Registration Number 49RF, Serial Number 1246. The MSP will enhance the serviceability and operation of GTC36-100 Garrett Aerospace engine, which serves the G-IV aircraft as the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). The government intends to contract services with Allied Signal under the authority of 41 USC253(c)(1). This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The MSP must be in place by October 1, 2000. The MSP must meet or exceed the MSP that is offered by the Original Equipment Manufacture. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR Part 13. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Allied Signal whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice.
