The Coastal Systems Station (CSS), Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, intends to solicit proposals for the design and fabrication of a state-of-the art Wide Bandwidth Sonar (WBS). The WBS will be used to evaluate conventional and biologically inspired signal processing and classification techniques. The WBS shall consist of three units: the Submersible Unit, Topside Unit, and the Umbilical Cable. The use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and modified COTS systems is encouraged.
