Government requires a traveling wave tube amplifier, quantity of one,
meeting or exceeding the following specifications: (A) 2 to 8 GHZ
operating frequency range. (B) 200W minimum power output at output
connector. (C) AMP gain (including preamplifier gain) of at least 53
dB. (D) If a preamplifier is necessary to achieve gain/output power
specified, it shall be solid state and internal to the amplifier unit.
(E) Gain flatness of plus or minus 13 dB, maximum, when operating at
rated power. (F) Input impedance of 50 Ohms, VSWR 2.0:1, maximum. (G)
Output impedance of 50 Ohms, VSWR 2.5:1 typical. (H) Load VSWR 2.0:1,
maximum, for continuous operation; any value for operation without
damage or oscillation. (I) At its output connector, the amplifier shall
be able to faithfully reproduce AM, FM, or pulse modulation appearing
on the input signal. (J) Harmonic content of -3 dBc, or lower, typical
at lower band edge. (K) Noise and spurious of -50 dBc, or lower,
typical, excluding harmonics. (L) Connectors shall be: RF Input of Type
N female, RF Output of Type N female, and RF Output Sampling Port of
Type N female. (M) Immediately capable of GPIB operation, with an IEEE
488 interface. (N) Have primary power range of 200 to 260 VAC single
phase and frequency of 47 to 63 Hz. (O) Have power consumption of 2.6
kVA or less typical and 3.0 kVA maximum. (P) Utilize forced-air
cooling. (Q) Weigh no more than 120 lbs (54 kg). (R) Have dimensions
which permit fit within standard 19-inch width rack and with height no
greater than 12 inches. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST
