National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases
(NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase Topcon Operation Microscope OM610
and Zero Angle Assistant Scope w/incline bino or equivalent. This
microscope is for surgery that requires technical expertise and the use
of a proper operating microscope. It must have 1.7 degree illumination:
state of the-art design provides brilliant illumination at an angle of
1.7 degrees, guaranteeing excellent red reflex quality and volume;
anterior capsulotomy is made extremely easy. Fine Resolution & Wide
Depth of field: Sophisticated optics generated with the latest in
computer-aided design give the OMS-610 extraordinary fine resolution
and an exceptional depth of field; this optical system gets the
physician through procedures with less refocusing than ever before. The
Institute intends to obtain this scientific equipment by full and open
competition. The Standard Classification Code is 3821 and the business
size standard is 500. All responsible sources may submit a quotation,
which if timely received, shall be within the Simplified Acquisition
Threshold for Purchases up $ 100,000. It is the intent of the National
Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to purchase
the required scientific equipment specified in the Request for Quote
(RFQ). Vendors capable of furnishing the Government this equipment
should request a copy of the Request for Quote form from the above
contact. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ)
NIH-NIDDK-00-551 will be available fifteen (15) days after the
publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due
ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date
